• ·       They belong to Basidiomycetes
• ·       Rust don’t have basidiocarp & no tertiary mycelium
• ·       Have polymorphic life cycle
• ·       They complete there life cycle on one host called Autocious rust
• ·       They form 5 type of spore :-

Stage 0-pycnia

Stage 1-aceia

Stage 2-uredia

Stage 3-telia

Stage 4-basidia

• ·        Uredospore is repeating spore
• ·        Telitospore is resting spore
• ·        Urediospore and basidiospore are produced in wheat which are infective spore on barberry
• ·        Whereas pycniospore and acieospore are formed in barberry which are infective on wheat plant.
